Last fall,   DL1 pooled resources with the DMC’s other cool space,  the UM3D Lab, to acquire a set of 3 Emotiv Epoc headsets with all of the developers’ tools.  As one group of artists began to gather around the idea of making music with these things, Yahoo! took notice and pitched in cash to support their work.    Here’s the resulting MiND Ensemble performance, held in the DMC’s other cool space, the video studio, last April.

Yahoo! was pleased enough to support MiND Ensemble‘s continued research this year.  Watch for news about what they’ll be doing with that grant.   Meanwhile, heads up:  the group will be meeting in DL1 on Tuesday evenings.  You might hear an earful or two, if you’re working here then.
