GROCS Places are Library spaces where programmatic support and “converging technologies” enhance local collaboration and peer-peer learning, especially across disciplines. Often, they invite interdisciplinary activity through their proximity to resources of interest to multiple fields.
In GROCS Places, GROCS funds
- advanced student consultants who serve as engaged peers and are encouraged to pursue projects of their own designs while at work
- equipment purchases, where there is an apparent convergent interest in the technology
- other resources that may be key to accomplishing significant connections
Design Lab 1, in the Duderstadt Center on North Campus, is the only active GROCS place at this time.
