GROCS

GROCS awards cash grants to student-initiated research projects that use digital media in an academic activity. Project teams must be interdisciplinary, and one project goal must be to enhance collaboration.

GROCS 2009 teams will meet Friday afternoons, from 3 - 5 PM. The meetings will include a little bit of administrative business, and a majority of idea-sharing. Most meetings will include opportunities for teams to solicit feedback on particular decision points in their projects. Drop-in guests are welcome to attend.

GROCS and a few Projects in Residence are housed in Design Lab One. Located in the heart of the Duderstadt Center it is a perpetually evolving space, constantly responding to the interests of students and faculty with diverse skills and perspectives, always with the shared goal to explore the role of digital media in interdisciplinary activity and collaborative learning.
