a Digital Media Commons program to fund student research on the use of rich media in collaborative learning

GROCS 2006 Project Archive

GROCS is an annual program at the University of Michigan that awards grants to students whose rich media projects are exceptionally compelling, especially in their potential to enhance collaborative learning.

GROCS 06 defined rich media as "any digital media that includes a time-based component; for instance: audio, video animation, virtual reality constructions or other data visualized over time." The selected projects explored ways that rich media might be integrated in a future academic environment, where the limitations of our current infrastructure and practices don't exist.

GROCS 06 began January 5 and ended April 18, 2006.
