DSLR Video Techniques, Hands On*

Description: In this seminar, students will learn the technical fundamentals of creating videos on a Canon 80D DSLR. Key elements such as ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed and other settings will be discussed in the first session with hands-on shooting time in the second session. Students can take knowledge from this course and apply it to any DSLR camera they use.

* A limited number of cameras will be available for hands on use.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own DSLR cameras as well.


Presenter Bio:

Lisa Gualtieri Alford is a Regional Account Manager for Canon USA’s line of Photography, Pro Video and Cinema products in Higher Education and B2B markets and holds a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design.

Lisa has worked as freelance photographer in New York City since 2002 and began a career in sales and business development in 2004. By combining her passion for art and image making with her keen business skills, she developed expertise in the marketing and technical use of various imaging equipment for the professional video, cinema and photography industries.

Since 2014, Lisa has taught workshops, conducted training and learning events, provided sales demos and maintained strategic relationships for her accounts in Higher Education, Journalism and Professional Production at Canon USA.

Lisa is still passionate about photography and enjoys documenting the places she travels, but is always happy to come home to Queens, where she resides with her husband Derrick and their cat, G-Loco.
