GROCS 2010 Schedule

Here it is– all the events and deadlines for the GROCS Fall Season. New activities this year: a CFP Kickoff Gathering in DL1 at lunchtime on Wed, Sep 16th. Come on over for a chance to chat with GROCS alums and GROCS staff members.

Also new: GROCS Proposal Workshops will replace the old GROCS Teas. Held at lunchtime on Wednesdays, these are opportunities for students to knock out ideas together, with feedback from GROCS staff.

It’s Coming! GROCS 09 Exhibition Opening Friday, April 10!

Well, it has all been leading up to these. Join us this Friday, April 10 from 5 to 8 pm in the Gallery at the Duderstadt Center. See work representing all six teams participating this year, and get a chance to mingle with the creators. We have been consistently blown away by the breadth and range of this year’s teams, and are proud to show them off in this exhibition.

If you can not make it to the opening, the exhibit will be open until April 15th. The gallery is open and available for viewing Mondays through Fridays from noon until 6 pm.

Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the GROCS program, all six 2009 projects will be on exhibit in the Gallery of the Duderstadt Center.   Join us for a very special reception Friday evening.

welcome GROCS 2009

The six projects selected this Fall will begin work in January. As diverse as the projects are, they share intersecting themes, including: the nature of digital archives and archiving, the value of immediacy, the significance of scale, and the allure of elegant transitions.

We invite you to follow their progress and their diversions, here. But first – good food!
