GroundWorks Media Conversion Lab
GroundWorks, a service of the Digital Media Commons, is a facility supporting the production, conversion, and editing of digital and analog media. High-end Macintosh and Windows computers equipped with CD/DVD drives, document scanners, slide scanners, slide film exposers, and video & audio equipment are available on a walk-in, self-serve basis. Large format color printing is also available for a fee.

GroundWorks Media Conversion Lab is located in Room 1315 adjacent to the Central Collaboration Area. The lab features DVD recorders, CD/DVD duplicators, video dubbing equipment, and provides hardware & software for simple video editing. The V-Room, a self-contained digital audio recording booth is available for recording your voice or a single instrument. The Postershop offers high-quality printing of large-format color posters, with an emphasis on conference or academic poster printing. Additionally, the entire library of lynda.com software tutorials are available for use on the lab computers.
The main purpose of GroundWorks is to provide media capture and conversion resources to support the academic, research, and professional work of the university community. While GroundWorks may certainly be used for personal projects, please be considerate of users working on university-related projects. These projects have priority access to the special equipment available in this facility.
