(
12-6pm)

The Duderstadt Center provides a nexus for creative and technological innovation across all disciplines.

Come see the amazing technology and media resources the center offers to the entire University of Michigan community, including some we are unveiling for the first time!

This is your first opportunity to experience the all new Visualization Studio, a powerful digital maker-space equipped with high-spec virtual reality development workstations, VR play areas, and 3D modeling tools. See demonstrations of how instructors and students are using VR to revolutionize teaching and learning. Meet our expert staff with deep experience developing AR/VR applications for research and instructional projects in disciplines across campus. Take a step inside the MIDEN, a 10'x10' immersive virtual reality room.

Our recently opened Fabrication Studio is equipped with high-end and self-service 3D printers, a laser cutter, electronic workbenches, and a variety of hand tools.

We are also working on enhancements to the Design Studio. This ever-evolving ideation space enables artistic exploration with a wealth of design and animation resources including drafting/drawing tools, large-format scanners, light tables, photography tables, down shooters, and a Hollywood-style motion capture system.
