The Advanced Graphics & Media Macintosh Training Room is a 22-seat room focused on instruction in 3D modeling, animation, high-end graphics work, and digital media manipulation.
The machine at the instructor's desk can be projected, or a laptop connection allows instructors to connect a laptop to the projector and the network. Video from a combination DVD/VHS deck can also be projected. Audio from the computer or from the video deck is played through speakers mounted on either side of the projection screens.
Each of the workstations in the Advanced Graphics & Media Macintosh training room is an Apple iMac, 24-inch. The speed is 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. The video card is an ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB. Ram is 4GB - 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. The hard drive is 500GB Serial ATA SuperDrive (DVD-RW/DVD-CD-RW/CD-ROM). A bundle of cables at each workstation furnishes a user with a 4-pin FireWire cable (for a DV camera), 6-pin FireWire cable (for a hard drive), headphone connector, and power cord.
Featured applications include Final Cut Studio, Adobe After Effects, iDVD, and DVD Studio Pro. A detailed software list is available here.
