November 3, noon to 1 p.m. – Researchers: How to Write and Implement a Data Management Plan

Presented by the AAEL. More and more funding agencies are requiring researchers to write a data management plan (DMP) as part of their grant applications. But what is a DMP? What should I write in it? In this workshop, you’ll learn: 

  • Various definitions of ‘data’ and why you should care about managing data
  • Components of a DMPs for common funding agencies (such as NSF and NIH) 
  • Topics to address in your DMP
  • Practical ideas for putting your DMP into practice, including specific tips on organizing and storing your data
