DC Deploys New Digital Signage

The University of Michigan’s Duderstadt Center (DC) is set to unveil a vibrant new look with the introduction of advanced digital signage and room status displays. As part of a broader accessibility initiative, which includes making previously inaccessible classrooms fully accessible, these digital enhancements will revolutionize how we communicate within the DC. Students, faculty, and visitors will have real-time access to essential information such as event and room schedules, building directories, emergency alerts, and important university updates—all designed to make navigating the Duderstadt Center a breeze.

We are thrilled to announce the deployment of Information and Technology Services (ITS)-supported Four Winds Interactive digital signage throughout the Duderstadt Center. These displays will feature a rotation of information including Duderstadt Center and North Campus events, room availability, bus schedules, and relevant content from the Digital Media Commons (DMC) and the University of Michigan. Additionally, in collaboration with CAEN (Michigan Engineering IT), numerous rooms within the Duderstadt Center will be equipped with Interactive Room Schedule Displays. These interactive screens will provide instant access to daily schedules, room availability across all engineering buildings, emergency information, and bus schedules, offering a seamless integration of resources at a glance.

This initiative underscores our ongoing commitment to fostering a connected, sustainable, and innovative environment at the University of Michigan. The introduction of these digital solutions at the Duderstadt Center is just one of many steps toward enhancing the campus experience, ensuring that our community is not only well-informed but also wholly inclusive.
