Pop-Up Gallery
Friday, December 6, 2:00-4:00 pm
School of Kinesiology Commons (830 N. University)
Explore the intersection of art and anatomy at a special pop-up gallery showcasing student work from the School of Kinesiology’s MOVESCI 313: “Art of Anatomy,” class. Students in the class explore different representations of the human body — Renaissance-era drawings, 18th-century wax models, modern scans — and consider how artistic choices affect anatomical representations, even today.
During the pop-up event, try out the experience yourself (on a much smaller scale). Start by touring the VR gallery to see the students’ bone art and then construct your own creations using provided 3D-printed bones.
With support from the Arts Initiative and the Duderstadt Center.
