This winter semester, the University of Michigan is hosting a semester-long program celebrating the artistry, tradition, and collective spirit of the dragon in Asian culture—an enduring symbol of inclusivity, strength, and courage.
Renowned international artist Zhen Guo is collaborating with faculty, artists, students, and volunteers to co-create a striking full-body dragon sculpture made from recycled materials, designed for use in a traditional dragon dance performance.
Now we are one step closer to “summoning” the dragon. Join us in Design Lab 1 to help decorate the sculpture and be part of this collaborative cultural project.
