Located on the first floor of DC, the Personal Studio has been serving as a simple, accessible recording space since 2008. Now, after a major summer renovation, it’s been transformed into a versatile, modern studio built to support everything from solo content creation to webinars, live streams, and broadcasts.
One of the most visible upgrades is the new curtain tracks covering 3/4 of the room, offering flexible backdrops—green screen, black, or gray—for a variety of camera angles and creative setups. The new studio also features ADA-compliant furniture to bring a more ergonomic and inclusive user experience. An additional round table and chairs make it easy to reconfigure the space to suit production needs. The cameras and computers in the room are now all connected using a NDI protocol which allows the devices to communicate through a simple network connection.
This marks Phase 1 of the Personal Studio upgrades. Over the next year, expect even more improvements—including updated cameras, microphones, and acoustic treatments. Stay tuned!
