This August, the Duderstadt Center Studio Team took their work overseas for the prestigious Colloques de Cerisy in France, an interdisciplinary gathering of creators, artists, and researchers from around the world.
The team presented VR, digital video, and 35mm film projects created at the Duderstadt Center as part of University of Michigan’s multidisciplinary research into pioneering French filmmaker Georges Méliès. By reimagining Méliès’ iconic works through both historic and emerging technologies, the projects offer new ways to experience the magic of early cinema.
From 35mm film to virtual reality, the Duderstadt Center supports creative exploration across technologies and disciplines. Explore the DC website to discover our studios and see where your next project could take you.
