Description: Connie Huang will screen her short documentary film, ÀiBàBa that is currently making the rounds at film festivals.  In addition, Connie will show behind the scenes photos from feature films she has worked on, such as The Goldfinch, The Greatest Showman, Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies, The Post, and West Side Story.  Share what it is like to be an aspiring filmmaker in NYC but still being able to support yourself with working in the industry. Sharing on how working with so many great filmmakers, Spielberg, Scorsese, Deakins, has been the best film school she gets paid to attend all the while having to balance her professional roles.


Presenter Bio:

Connie Huang is an Asian-American filmmaker who grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan and now lives in Brooklyn, New York. She is a member of the International Cinematographer Guild Local 600 and works as a professional camera assistant on feature films in NYC. She is an aspiring cinematographer and when she’s not making films you can find her at Crossfit, surfing, writing postcards, snowboarding, teaching her cousins art lessons or just watching a good movie at home.
