The Duderstadt Center Gallery will be an election hub on North Campus during the four weeks leading up to the November 8th midterm elections.

The Creative Campus Voting Project has designed a satellite Ann Arbor City Clerk’s office where U-M students and Ann Arbor voters can:

  • Register or re-register with your updated address
  • Request an absentee ballot
  • Vote the ballot early on site or bring it home to vote
  • Drop off your absentee ballot at an official dropbox

Visitors who want to vote elsewhere in Michigan or out of state, will find registration and voting resources, along with guidance from UMich Votes Fellows.

The gallery will also feature an immersive Ballot Wayfinder installation Monday through Friday, 12-6pm where visitors can learn about and navigate the ballot and access trusted, non-partisan resources about candidates.

U-M Stamps School of Art & Design faculty Stephanie Rowden and Hannah Smotrich, co-founders of the non-partisan Creative Campus Voting Project, work at the intersection of civic design and public art.

Creative Campus Voting Project, UMMA, Turn Up Turnout, the U-M Ginsberg Center, and U-M Democracy & Debate Initiative together comprise UMICH VOTES, a coalition of social and civic engagement organizations. Their non-partisan collaborative efforts work to educate, expand access, and engage our student and community voters in the democratic process.
