On November 28, 2023, the University of Michigan joins thousands of organizations from across the world by participating in Giving Tuesday. Making a gift to the Duderstadt Center will help expand our Student Fellowship Program as well as enable more students to access media and technology resources unique to the DC.
In addition to the cutting edge technologies our students are able to access, our Student Fellowship Program was designed with the goal of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University of Michigan, particularly in technology fields.

The DC’s Student Fellowship Program, managed by Digital Media Commons staff, aims to provide the benefits of personal and professional development activities via paid work experiences, community and camaraderie among peers with similar interests, practical avenues to apply and grow skills learned in coursework, leadership, teamwork, and networking opportunities. These personal and career development experiences are highly valued by employers and graduate schools.
This year the U-M is featuring fundraising projects with a focus on expanding diversity, increasing equitable access, and inclusivity across dozens of U-M student groups, U-M programs, and academic initiatives. See all the projects featured on the U-M’s dedicated Giving Tuesday website.
“Giving Tuesday” and “Giving Blueday”
The University of Michigan has two annual days of giving—two opportunities for everyone who loves Michigan to join together to combine their support and maximize impact for the causes, schools, units and student organizations they feel most passionate about. Giving Blueday will next take place on March 13, 2024. The U-M’s official crowdfunding hub for these initiatives is MaizeRaise.
