Hito, a musical and theatrical performance art piece, explores culture through a variety of musical genres. An interdisciplinary experiment featuring a collision of Japanese folk and pop music with Jazz arrangement and dance, all connected through poems and theatrical performance pieces. 


Marina Kondo, a student in the School of Music, Theatre and Dance, Musical Theatre Department, already has extensive musical performance experience. Performing at jazz shows in Japan since the age of 9 years old; representing Japan in music festivals in Japan, Brazil, and America; and as an International Music Ambassador for Minami-Souma city since the Earthquake and Tsunami on March 11, 2011. She has performed as a back-up singer for Soul King and Ben E. King (The Drifters), and has been the recipient of numerous music awards at the international and national level. 


Admission is free and open to the public.
