The College of Engineering Faculty and Staff Arts & Crafts Show '09 is a non-juried biannual event which gives the faculty and staff within the College of Engineering community a chance to share their creative interests with their peers, colleagues, and the community at large. The purpose of this event also illustrates the common threads which runs through both disciplines of Engineering and Art: ingenuity and creative spirit. This year's event features the work of 34 artists with art from the following mediums: Ceramic, Collage, Fiber Art, Jewelry, Painting, Photography, Mosaic, Sculpture, and Woodworking.

Video Studio
This special audio-visual live electronics presentation will feature a North American appearance by Markus Guentner, a German artist known as an innovator of the pop ambient sound, and Detroit-based digital dub stylists nospectacle. The performance will include composed and improvised music and video, mixed and sequenced by the artists. The point of focus is to show how art and entertainment technologies play a crucial role in transcending political, cultural, and psychological borders. Presented as part of the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia's Fall 2009 series, "The Nines: Brinks, Cusps, and Perceptions of Possibility -- from 1789-2009."
